L’Arche Saskatoon is on a mission to help people grow – which means we have to grow too! Right now, we’re turning people away from our L’Arche Workshop because our van is full – we have no empty seats.
We have a solution, but we can’t do it alone.
We need an additional van to transform the way we serve our community, and our goal is to have it on the road by January 2020.

What impact will it have?
Since 2012, L’Arche Saskatoon has cultivated meaningful daytime opportunities and activities for people living with disabilities. Each day, our Workshop members get out into the community for social activities or spend time at their home base engaging in creative pursuits.
These opportunities send ripples through the family and support networks of individuals living with disabilities and cultivate meaning, connection and self-esteem for participants.
A new van will deliver community impact in several important ways:
- More seats = more participants. There are no empty seats in our current van. A second van will allow us to expand our program, leading to significant positive change in the lives of individuals living with disabilities.
- Less time driving = more time making memories. Having another van will allow us to split up our pick-up and drop-off routes, reducing the time participants spend in transit.
- More wheels = more activity choice. A second vehicle will mean more diverse programming for participants, sending groups to different activities based on their preferences.
